  • We're not just lighting candles. There are many vigils all around the world promoting albums and movies. For example, there is a candle lighting scheduled with the release of "Songs for Tibet", Robert Thurman is opening and speaking at the NY vigil, there is also a candle lighting scheduled with the release of the new movie "Tibet's Cry for Freedom".... The day after Sad Smoky Mountains are setting off red flares from over 100 locations on 3 continents. Including in NY and SF.

  • Apologies. Upload messed up originally and on resubmission that was omitted. It's been changed now!!

  • Tibet still exists? And why the hell would you want to save a small little country of religious fanatics, primitive unoriginal methods of life, middle-age technology, and complete lack of useful ability? What possible use can come of this small worthless nation, what use at all? They don't trade anything of use, their idiotic religion is of no potential use to anyone even. in fact if i can properly recall, their religious fanaticism is what ended their empire in the first place. forget them.

  • Thanks, Qristina. Big hug from Spain :-)

  • I think Chinese Government must give up on this issue. Poor fellow Tibetans...

  • good point!

  • Lighting a boycott of Chinese products on August 7 with the promotion of movies like "Kundun" (1997) and "10 Questions for the Dalai Lama" (2006) would be more productive than simply lighting a demonstration candle, in my view. -Derek

  • I'll certainly do it.

I wish there was a way to get this video featured on YouTube.

  • it can't hurt as a demostration of unity with the multitudes of others who wish to take a stance on tyranny. i suppose a more effective move would be a boycott of Chinese products we are providing the funds that are feeding the fire of environmental degradation that is devastating the natural world in which we live. Capitalism and the justification of greed at all cost. America is for most to blame. We are the suckers BUYINGl this trash. Check your candle! Was it made in China? Likely!

  • The matrix.

  • How is lighting a candle going to help free Tibet from tyranny? -Derek
