Iraq War Veteran Charlie Anderson describes his anger at how the administration has treated those who have returned from Iraq. Charlie warns Bush that he will use his military training to fight against the war ... instead of a machine gun he will use the pen, microphone, and guitar as his tools.
Of course, the big problem that you have just skirted is that wars are political entities but governments essentially tell the soldiers "you just fight and leave the politics to us." Unfortunately, the real story is usually lost in the propaganda.

That analogy works better for the Iraqis than it does for the U.S. or the U.K. The "evidence" for invading Iraq was manipulated and overblown. Thus, we turned away from Afghanistan and entered a quagmire for which there is no graceful exit.

that may all be true,,,,but if someone walks up to me in the street and punches me in the face I wouldnt just stand there and take it I would fight bak and fuck him up,,,you obviously know more politics than me

Al Quaeda has approximately 1500 members in Iraq. They are responsible for some of the most grandiose attacks, but not the majority. They are not well liked by the population. However, the continued presence of American and coalition troops is only fanning the civil war. 90% of the casualties in Iraq are civilians. Staying there only emboldens a desperate populace and is a beacon call for our true enemies.

i would feel awful but as far as i know their missions arent unneecessary if they involve allowing women to vote and stopping insuregtns from blowing up and snipeing school children then i cant call it unnessary,,i know alaqaeda wernt 100% in iraq before the invasion but they are now,,,therye sick though they are pure evil ,,,as an example the beheadings

Let me ask you this, if your friend in the paras was killed for a mission that was unnecessary how would you feel?
Iraq has nothing to do with Al Quaeda. Like Vietnam and Korea before it, Iraq is an ill-conceived debacle for which there is no graceful way to exit. Just because soldiers fight does not make the war noble or worthy of their sacrifice. If you listen to what we are saying, you likely find that the vast majority of us care deeply about the troops, our country and the world.

i think people such as hippys use everything and anything to their advantage e.g oposition towards the war in this country theres this utter twat called george galloway hes the uk's anti war spokesmen and he does exaclty that he thinks he speaks for the british armed forces in opposition to the war when he doesnt and most UK troops are more intersed in defeating the enemy and getting home, this guy would rather see alqaeda win a fight than british soldiers and it fucking pisses me off

There is a very determined enemy out there. But the only reason that enemy is in Iraq is because the USA and its allies opened that country to their influence. You mention the "hippies" own end. What motives do you think they have?

look i try to know the best i can about it and as far as i know there is a sick enemy out there, and obviously friing blindly at crowds is wrong but wannabe hippys use that all the time for their own end and it pisses me off,,your probably the only person who can use that and mean it,,but you have to understand i hate this idea off being agaisnt war becuase its seen as cool and rebeluois for no fucking reason

It's not your in youth and in experience that angers me, it is your cavalier attitude about something you know nothing about. Following orders to ignore starving children and firing blindly into crowds of kids is nothing to be proud of. On the other hand exposing the lies, deception and motives of a war based on greed is a small fraction of the debt I owe. To serve in an honorable war is noble. To have served is an evil war leaves a mark on the soul.
