I agree, amigo. Many who succeed -- especially in the arts -- blame it on 'destiny' or behave as if they were picked by the universe rather than remembering that one lucky moment or event. It's human, I guess.

I'm glad Ira pointed this out. As an Architectural Storyteller I'm all about finding and promoting the "Thousand Stories of Architecture." There are great human stories embedded in the design and construction of a building. Let's talk about them!

The bit about finding stories is so true. I'm working on a science miniseries right now, and even when I know precisely what the subject matter is, half of the script work for each episode is research and trying to find an angle, some way to spin the information so that it makes a story that people want to listen to. I end up having to kill a lot of darlings because they just break the flow of the story.
