"Scripture was written by God not to hide his will but to reveal his will". Why do we seem to have so much trouble understanding it? I think our cognitive thought has a disposition from birth that effects the outcome of all its understanding. And this disposition is never more clearly exposed then when it comes to Gods' word..We hate God. We do not want to see God. We our at birth spiritually dead (as is related to our connection with the creator). We see what we want and that want is not Christ

Nothing has endured so much for such a length of time, (NT, 2,000 years,) in History as the Bible. The New Testament was written and finished around 30 years after the death of Christ. Despite the persecutions of various Roman Casears and the Dark Age...it is still here.
