Darlin' (wild turkey hen) vs. Momma Squirrel 2852

Wild turkeys are unusual in that they incorporate other animals into their hierarchy. I think Darlin' is asserting her dominant position rather than trying to starve Momma Squirrel. Fortunately, because I feed the turkeys (mother figure) and am a lot bigger than a turkey, I'm as high ranked as you can get. A gobbler, despite being twice her size, is subordinate to his mother. On occasion, a gobbler will challenge a human; just because you're a human doesn't guarantee high rank.
