@stevenbraniganable You clearly do not understand, the British museum is a world museum anyone can go there to study every civilisation that has existed over the entirety of human history. The museum itself is one of the greatest treasures of humanity, a jewel of the enlightenment,to break it appart just to suit the petty nature of some people would be a total outrage. People can still go to greece to study greece to study the world the only place to go is the bristish museum

@MsDDiddy The Rosetta stone was obtained in 1801 and it was captured from the French who in turn had dug it up from the rubble of an old fort where it was being used as a piece of building material. Your total lack of knowledge regarding even the most basic facts makes me suspect that you are an idiot ranting about something you do not understand.

The British Museum and the British National LIbrary (free admission to both; very nice in a very expensive city) are by themselves worth a trip to London.
Nice little overview of the museum.

> I realise to be a righteous American citizen the British have to be the bad guys throughout history. Well stuff it up your jumper. I'm rightfully proud of my history and maybe you should give us America back!?
Thank you for posting this video, I am extremely happy that my nations history (ASSYRIO-BABYLONIAN) is preserved at the British Museum. If it wasn't for the Brits, it would have been used as a military base by those terrorists or smuggled out of the country, sold in the black market and never seen again.

@MsDDiddy At the time when the british discovered these items the locals were smashing it up, using it for the foundations of houses or stealing and selling it to anyone who showed the slightest bit of interest and non of it was going on public display. Times have changed, everyone has woken up to the fact that history is important and you want us to feel bad and give it back to the dictators of countries that didn't even exist back then. Drop the holier than thou shit. >
