In 2006 word spread that Bob Dylan would have a song called "Huck's Tune" on the soundtrack to the film Lucky You. Without having heard Dylan's then-unreleased track Alaskan trad folk trio The Folk Process wrote and recorded their own "Huck's Tune," using the same compositional methods favored by Dylan.
The tune is partially based on the Carter Family's "I Never Loved But One," but switched to minor key, and with some of the chords changed around. The lyrics are mostly taken from Henry Timrod poems.
Dylan's "Huck's Tune" didn't end up sounding anything like this, but The Folk Process got their "Huck's Tune" out into the marketplace first.
All music and lyrics by The Folk Process.
