  • This YTV thing will never catch on.

  • nickelodeon is now in canada

  • I think there's a lot more commercials on Canadian TV today. In fact, I've seen other channels make edits to their shows just to squeeze in more commercials, including, surprisingly enough, the usually wholesome Vision TV.

In the end, it always comes down to money in Canada, even during a recession.

  • Part of the change is because the company that owns YTV went on to launch TreeHouse TV, and moved all of YTV's preschool programming over there instead, freeing up space on the schedule for more teens-and-twenties fare.

And you may remember that there was a big outcry over the channel showing 'Power Rangers', so that show eventually got yanked. Ironically, a couple of years later, no one complained about the even more violent 'Buffy' airing nightly in primetime.

    The more things change, eh?

  • Funny how these things work, isn't it?

  • Holy cow!!

    The memories are flooding back!

I just caught myself singing the Kangazoo Club Song!

    Thanks for the upload!!

  • Another video stolen from Youtube, upped to RetroJunk and then stolen back to Youtube.... what a clusterfxxk

  • Wow, that's a far cry from the YTV we have today. Times have changed completely. I still have troubles thinking it's almost been 20 years since Launch. And I never saw the lauch either

  • they were so wonderfully grassroots back in those days.

  • "The beginning of the best TV of their lives." Heh, if only the same could be said of YTV now...
