In my recent explorations of this fine harp from Vietnam, and after a throat singing lesson from Johnny Cope at Hangout UK 2008, I've found that all the same principles of producing overtones using the different cavities of the head and body apply to jaw and jews harps as well. In this vid I explore MANY of the various overtone possibilities with this particular harp.

Blessings,

OM

  • Heya Om! Good stuff. Don't you just love mucking about on your Dan Moi? I sure do :D!

  • Hey Pulp! Yeah, I love this thing! Hours of enjoyment, and easier than throat singing, with just as many harmonic possibilities! Special thanks to Johnny Cope for providing it!
