@BBosage The best of the free life is still yet to come, and the good times ain't over for good!

Love it too

Did they in fact write most of their own music? Or were they just great singers. It's certainly more impressive if they did write all the words and music to their songs......
Either they were the best ever.

This was Country Music at its finest moment!

Ira was a pure genius. He was not only a master of words, but also of melodies. While most writers have just one big hit, the Louvins had song after song like this. And just listen to the Louvins' voices! Surely Heaven sent.

@WaliniRose This music is timeless, Hall of Fame material. What was your Dad's name? That's quite a proud heritage!

I am so surprised to see so many fans of the Louvins still listening and loving their music. My dad played in their stage band for a few years after returning from WWII, as well as some of the others from his Grand Ole Opry Days. I love the songs that I grew up singing with Daddy, but didn't realize most of them were done with the Louvin Brothers. I am collecting their songs for my children and grandchildren that never heard their PawPaw Henry's beautiful mandolin. I will remember forever.
