Check out the show Buffy:The Vampire Slayer
A character named Willow was portrayed as a girlish, typical straight high school girl, then she had a lesbian partner. I found it to be SO refreshing to see a real, genuine love relationship on TV that just happened to be between two women. They were not obscene, they didnt portray any negative stereotypes about lesbian. And they were accepted and loved by all their straight peers. A good message if you were life me, scared to come out of the closet

I agree. I don't fit those stereotypes, not even on QAF.
I'm a martial artist, I like video games and Anime, where am I in this??

The media definitely needs to show a wider range of gay characters. Seeing only the stereotype in movies and television alienates people like me (non-effeminate, non-flamboyant, non-promiscuous) who do not fit into this narrowly-defined view of gays. I would certainly agree that it could lead to homophobia. I talk about these issues in many of my videos.
Anyway, I enjoyed the interviews. I hope to see more from you in the future!

yeah it is really unfortunate. i think the sensationalist nature of our society today plays a big part in influencing the production of minority representation in the mass media for entertainment and monetary purposes rather than seeking social change.
and thanks, i appreciate your feedback.
