I can find plenty that got ko'd trying to apply wrist control on sweaty opponents. The arms are smaller and faster while the legs are big and slower. Plus anklelocks are the least expected sub of all the techs. My friend got of an achilles from a kneebar in his first match at NAGA in like 10secs. and he got a heel hook from mount also but that was like 6mins. Also, if your ankle or knee is broken then you have to use crutches and I would've prefer a elbow brace over those horrid things anyday.

Leg lock are amazing. Hardly anyone can fight with thier ankle broken (or knee) I would prefer them over armlocks any day. Plus holding a leg to me is alot easier than holding an arm. I've seen people man up to a broken arm but a leg you can even walk away let alone run away.

what does 'holding on to a leg is easier than holding on to an arm' mean.

seriously, find a competent grappler that agrees with that statement in any way.
