Actually, this guitar was originally finished in a really odd looking red with all waterbased products. I hated the color so I sanded the top down and died it the black and red. I arranged the pictures to make it look like it was done like this from the beginning.

  • Bastard

  • @EliSexyton ...I'm speachless...

  • I mean I apreciate your love for classic metal! <\../

  • So this IS the GF LP kit? Good deal.....was wondering as to the quality of their kits. I realize the electronics are crap as they come(hell, when the website even says as much in the online literature....LOL), but the basic structure is what I'm interested in.

  • @bowslap this wasactually from a small dealer on ebay. Probably the same thing. yeah, hardware is crap. I changed tuners, pups, pots...

It's all about the woodwork. If you do a good job on the finish, put decent hardware on you could have a fine instrument.

It also requires a fret job btw...

    Good luck,

    J-

  • where did yoyu bought these parts?

  • @LRRS15 You can find them at guitar fetish or byo guitar.

    They are $175-$250...

  • That's soo legit. What brand and color name is that red stain you used??

  • @RocketQueenBand201 depends on the tail for your guitar. As it appears, his guitar came with no stop tail route, so he had to drill it out, if you plan on putting a stop tail on you might have to do this, although most LP kits come with one. But, if you plan on putting a differnet tail on, such as a bigsby, it wouldn't be required.

  • @JoshuaRFox No im serious mate ! So i have to do that for my guitar too ??

  • @RocketQueenBand201 is that sarcasm? Its drill holes for the stop tail.

  • Dude why did you do that to the guitar at 0:31 ?

  • Hey whats up I like the video.... I believe i just purchased the same DIY kit from ebay, i have a question though..... How and where do you know to drill for the bridge and tailpiece? I've been searching all over and couldnt find any answers. Also did the body come with binding or did you add it? Either way EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!!

  • honestly do not see the point in a guitar kit, you either build a guitar properly or not at all, theres nothing worth doing with a kit, just assembling and a bit of painting or whatever, get stuck in at the deep end and make a guitar properly! though tbf not a bad job with the kit ;-)

  • il give you $2000 for it

  • that is the coolest and nicest looking les paul ive ever seen that isnt an actual gibson. more than a nice job
