How To Downgrade iPhone - Verify Apple Servers - Device Eligible - FIX

For those of you having trouble downgrading to the older 3.1.3 firmware or even older versions of iPhone firmware, this tutorial is for you.

This tutorial fixes the problem - This device isn't eligible for the requested build"

I walk you through adding a server IP to your host file to allow you to use the older software.

Hey I can't ever get it to save. Once I close out and re open it it is no longer there :( Please help.

@NINKman Then you did not save it properly. Hit control x to exit and then hit Y for yes. It will then ask you if you want it to write to the file /etc/hosts. Hit enter and it should save.

Note: This will not work since iTunes upgraded.

I have tried this with the latest version of iTunes and the latest .ipsw.

@AccountN0name hey look its the same as if you are cracking adobe ... so look go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\et­c and open hosts with notepad, than type what is in the video under the last line and hit save than restore :D
