Shot on May 22, 2011 at the 161 Street-Yankee Stadium station on the IRT's Jerome Avenue Line (4-train.) On this day the New York Transit Museum ran a fan trip with the post-World War I Low Voltage (or Lo-V) subway cars on the 4-line. Here we have the 4-car consist passing by Yankee Stadium on the middle, or express track, heading to Woodlawn (Jerome/Bainbridge Aves) with 5443 as the lead motor. Ironically, the Yankees & Mets were playing the third and final game of the annual "subway series" at Yankee Stadium - the game was in the 2nd inning when the Lo-V passed by.

  • I was at that game and I must've saw that train set! Too bad the Mets lost, though.
