Chinese Migrant Children Given Opportunity to Attend School

One of the great challenges people face in China is poverty. Many poor farmers leave the countryside and go into the city looking for a better life. In many Chinese migrant worker families, children are forced to quit school because their parents can't afford the costs and because their labor skills are needed to bring in extra money. The Hua Ao School in Beijing is one of the schools that Operation Blessing has helped to provide better facilities for students and teachers. Last year, Operation Blessing assisted more than 2,000 children and this year will provide educational and nutritional assistance to impoverished students at 47 schools in 7 provinces.
