This part starts atthe large reservoir next to Ouarzazate where we have chiffchaff, before heading further east into the desert where we experienced torrential rain and flooding all day. We arrived at our hotel in Boumalne before heading down the Tagdilt track. Species filmed here are a sand rat, short-toed lark, hoopoe lark, Temminck's lark and long-legged buzzard, goldfinch and some local dogs. We then headed a bit further south to a site known as the "wheatear wall" where we have female then male red-rumped wheatear, female then male mourning wheatear, thick-billed lark, Temminck's lark, jirid, cream-coloured courser, northern wheatear, and probably barbary falcon, although cannot completely rule out small local race of peregrine.
Thanks for sharing your trip, I am going next August, would there be much to see then?
