The Astron is a shipwreck located off the coast of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The ship was a Russian-owned cargo vessel built in 1957 and measuring 120 meters (370 feet) in length. She ran aground during a storm on her way to Cuba in 1978 and broke apart into two pieces with part of the bow above the water. The ship sits on a coral and sandy bottom at a depth of 40 feet. In the video you can see the ship's large propeller and other parts of the heavily damaged stern. It's a fun wreck to dive, but you have to be careful with all the sharp metal edges and some large moving parts (the currents can be strong).
