-.- annoying how the top two comments are about how CC and Lelouch's relationship is better than Kallen and Lelouch's . However, the two relationships are different in this regard. Lelouch can show this vulnerable side of himself to CC because she is-not only ALWAYS there, even if he doesn't want her to be- but he isn't in danger of losing her. Ever. Kallen can die and be lost easily. He doesn't need to protect CC, he does Kallen. So he in the very end leaves her, to keep her from his plan.

The way Lelouch's knee goes toward CC while she is hugging him is adorable. Friends don't usually hug like that. Its a very profound scene.

This is why I like his and C.C's relationship better than his with Kallen's and Shirley's. Kallen saw Zero. Shirley saw Lulu. But C.C is the only person who saw Lelouch. That and she's never tried to shoot him with a gun and trample him under a giant robot.
