Damm, I only just heard! Goodbye Robert. I remember us on tour with you and Canned Heat, sharing thoughts in a bar on the Reeperbahn, Hamburg 1996-ish, on stage with Robert, Fito, Henry et al at the end of their set. Rest in Peace big man, you were just right for Canned Heat.

I miss this guy.

I met Lucas in rehab back in the 90's. He and I were roommates. He helped me pull it together when I was so lost. The thing I remember most about his playing was waking up in the morning to Lucas playing his steel guitar down on the basketball court. Hearing that come up the hill in the morning... lets just say i've never found a more peaceful way to wake up in the morning. Your definitely missed.

Yesterday I was cruizing the bumpy Belgium highways going home. It was a long trip from France to The Nehterlands. When I heard this song I was blown away by Lucas' voice and the cool sound of the band. He isn't here anymore but he still gives people joy!

Known Bob since he was 18 and was with Bernie
Pearl. Fellow kindred spirit...harp player &
singer. No more tortured soul for Bob.
He's jammin with Son House, Muddy, & Elmore!

I've been a fan of Robert Lukas since the late Eighties. He is not only one of the best singer/player and composers of today's Blues, he celebrates the legends of those who've preceded him admirably. "Luke" is a Southern California treasure and a blues icon. He's also one helluva nice guy.
