  • when you open up "govnah" under the title the first option is profile it should be Palm Default change it to OnDemandTCL 1512. This is all that's required no need to go into advanced options. The preset it more stable and better battery life.

  • @waqasnaqvi23 Thanks for the tip. Will note that.

  • Great tutorial! If Worked perfect. If I wanted to create a profile for 1.9ghz would I follow you instructions from the very beginning or start half way since webos-testing-all is created?

  • @d0lphin2 I would take extra precaution with the 1.7 and 1.9 upgrade. The proper procedure would to remove the uberkernel first, reboot, then go directly to preware to install the F15C. However, to be honest I have had issues with stabilization. I had my Touchpad completely lock up for 5 minutes and had to hold the power button down to get it to restart. I would contact the guys at webOS internals for help if you really want to do this.

  • How can I over clock it to 1.7? Is the speed difference much greater from 1.5?

  • @petefentonp You can just install F15C instead of Uberkernel. I had problems though. Some people installed it successfully but I tried it 3 times and wasn't successful. The 1.5 has been proven to be stable but as soon as they stabilize the 1.7 I'll install that one.

  • Thanks BTW

  • Thanks BTW

  • I did exactly what you said and I was able to clock it to 1.5. But it did that to just one core. The second core reads 0, just like in you video. Also there are comments about using F15C kernel. But I Couldnt find it.

  • Beyond awesome. Worked like a charm and was so easy all thanks to your spot on tutorial. I'm not convinced its all that faster but I am too reluctant to go higher. Thank you for the great videos!

  • Thanks a lot! Cheers!

  • @eckoboi

Bump! I'm interested in hearing about the different profiles too

  • @iModifYouri it's important to keep in mind you're not 'overclocking' it to 1.5, you're literally just restoring it to it's proper speed. hp underclocked the the 16gb and 32gb versions of the touchpad. the 64gb version shipped at the chip's normal clock speed of 1.5ghz. there is no threat whatsoever to restoring the lost speed. hp did this to make the special edition 64gb appear more.. special.

  • Great tutorial. Worked a treat!

  • Great video.

  • Magic dude. Much appreciated.

  • my friend told me to use "ondemand" but i see that u are using "ondemandtcl"....any difference?

  • thanks!

  • Sorry hit wrong button, please don't worry so much about zooming in and out, we are able to see things just fine. I really do appreciate your videos and plan to use them to o/c my hp tomorrow. Thank you for your videos.

  • Not trying to be rude, your video guide is a great help.

  • @loudimpact thanks mate. i'm going to try this still waiting for delivery .

  • Pure Awesome. Thanks a bunch!!!

  • thank you so much for this video,my touchpad is perfect now.

    thanks again and thumbs up.

  • @iModifYouri If you stick with Govnah and the 1.5Ghz Uberkernel I would rate it 9 out of 10 on safety. The guys at webOS internals have been doing this for 2 years and this Uberkernel has been proven to be stable. But it has to be installed correctly too. However, I would say the risk increases if you install too many Homebrew applications.
