Hi great version! is that a Breedlove Weissenborn your playing? how does it compare to the Goldtone and what does it sound like plugged in? sorry about all the questions but i'm about to invest in a weissenborn shortly and i'd be interested in your opinion /advice. Thanks Joe

I don't know about Breedlove. My Weiss is a bear creak; sounds beautiful and blows the goldtone out of the water: but Bear Creak is $4,000. Goldtone is a lot less. Plugged in depends on the pick up system so depends on whats in a guitar.

if you're starting out lap style; buy whats reasonable for your budget. you might not need a rolls royce.

@slideytunes Hi again! Thanks for your previous advice, I bought a Goldtone SM in the end, I'm sure it doesn't compare to the Bear creak but its still an absolute joy to play. Next on my shopping list is a pickup, what do you think would work best with this guitar to capture the great weissenborn acoustic tone?

@333joemc goldtone is great guitar. good choice. stick a rare earth humbucker in the sound hole or a baggs m1 active. both work well. enjoy yourself.

Tom that is a fantastic version; I love this tune and your version is superb. It beats me Tom with your style of playing, not being the traditional method of a bar, just using the ' Ultimate' you designed, your playing is so clean, I see no dampening at all when I watch you.
