Amy Forsythe reports that Marines are training with the new dunk tank at Camp Pendleton's Camp Horno, May 2005. The dunk tank is used to simulate a underwater conditions from an aircraft malfunction. Marines are expected to learn how to stay calm to better increase chances of survival. Six Force Recon Marines and one Sailor died in 1999 when their Ch-46 Helicopter flipped overboard a ship and broke apart in the water. This report originally aired on "The Pendleton Journal" on Camp Pendleton's KPEN TV station.
What an excellent training.
