Mostly from the Wal-Mart (and surrounding shopping centers) where the tornado cut a path right down the middle of the whole store. 1993 Killer Tornado Damage in Colonial Heights Virginia.

  • My sister worked in that Walmart in the pharmacy (right where the tornado entered) she would've been working that day but we were at the Youth Evangelism Conference at King's Dominion that day. It rained so bad we came home early, on I-295 over the big suspension bridge we counted 14 tractor trailers on their side, quite a mess, and you could see a path through the woods from the tornado beside the river. Old Town Petersburg did get it bad but it did not "flatten everything."

  • @yoothgeye The part of "Old Towne" Petersburg that I saw was flattened. There was nothing. It was the path of the tornado and it left nothing standing. My wife's aunt (who got a collapsed lung) worked at Wal-Mart and was standing beside a woman that was killed.

  • it would be a looters paradice with things all over the place did you get anny free stuff

  • Your kidding right? What do you think a F4 tornado does? Puts everything in a nice big pile so everyone can take it? I am sure if you have the time to cover 30 or so square miles you could probably find a shirt or 2.

  • Is there any video of the actual tornado?

  • If there is I haven;t seen it. I did see a stil picture of it though somewhere.

  • too bad a Tornado can't destroy Walmart's HQ in Bentonville. the people that run Walmart are pure EVIL.

  • You can still go to Petersburg and see that Old Town still exists, some things needed to be fixed and they lost some old buildings but much is still there. We lived about a mile from the Wal-Mart and sustained no damage at the house. This is Justin Fender if anyone reading is from the area and wanted to know who's account this is.

  • What you don't see in this video is Old Towne Petersburg of which there was NOTHING left. I mean flattened. Not even one building standing. I wiwsh I had video of that but I didn't get any.

  • My father used to work for Sears at Southpark, as a traveling electronics technician. He had just come out of Sears, ready to go fix a customers tv, when this tornado came barrelling towards him. He barely had enough time to get in his van and outrun it. Needless to say, he didn't make his service call that day.
