The problem with a "theocracy" is that it never actually is "rule by God". It's always the "rule by men in the name of a god they've created in their own image & likeness." The divine becomes pretext and alibi- and men set themselves up as adjudicators of the divine. If self-described "Bible believing Christians"- who allegedly abhor idolotry when perpetuaued by others, can't see the obvious paradox in their position, they're either imbeciles or inately dishonest.

My three rules:
1) Don't believe anything "god" tells you. God don't tell you shit no more.
2) Don't mess with god!
3) Always find a religion that has people you like. Do you really want to go to heaven if it is full of snobby Christians or suicide bombers?

I agree completely. I just hope that we have a different president in the White House next January. The fact that, for more than two centuries, presidents have relinquished the seat of power voluntarily is not proof that they always will. George thinks God talks to him, and he may want to keep listening from the White House. Now we have Directive 51 to worry about.

I certainly wouldn't want a theocratic? government of a religion other than my own. Then again, my religion is very well organized and is non-profit or non-salaried. By organized I mean that it is the same everywhere all over the world.
While I don't think one cannot communicate with God, because I do through revelation, but I wouldn't want some kook who has no authority to receive revelation for others.
Now, I belive the USA is a Christian country founded on Christian principles.

The USA is not a Christian country. Its secular. It was designed that way by people who believed in a god and wanted a religious country, people who did not believe in a god at all AND people who believed in a god but wanted a secular country. They did this because it's the only way to protect everyone's religious rights. Yours and mine. You can believe what you want. But the facts are in the constitution.
Freedom of religion must also include freedom from religion.
