I would have rather heard the bad news from anyone else than Cosell, as he in his own strange way announced it as a score of some kind.
Get to the point! And that is how I heard it back then as I was watching that game, and I was a Beatles fan from my single digit ages.

I was setting up at a gig when I heard Howard Cosell announce Lennon's murder. I was stunned. Things haven't been the same since.

He'd support medical marijuana for people who are truly in need of it, and who could obtain it in a reasonable way, from well regulated dispensaries, discreetly. Not the organized criminal enterprise we see today. If you lived in a stable neighborhood on the edge of a bad area, and someone opened up a pot dispensary next door, and all the criminals and their lunacy from that bad area flowed into your once peaceful street, then it truly would, as you say, hit home. To the manor born, aren't you?
