Peggy Noonan talks the crazy talk of Washington. Although officials may have broken the law, we need to look the other way and move on. Crazy. I thought that the republican party was the party of law and order. I guess not.

  • This argument did not work at Nuremberg.

  • This rivals the absolute worst of what I've read and heard from Peggy Noonan before, and for someone as infuriating as her that's a real accomplishment. She's so awful.

  • Some of life has to be mysterious? Unbelievable.

  • isnt it great living in an empire

  • I love it how no matter what Peggy talks about, she talks like she is in some International Foods Flavored coffee commercial.

  • @sdkee No more words. Give me your address, I'll come over and you can administer the treatment. I accept the challenge. I will prove you wrong.

    > Of course they have medical instruments handy

And they've had to use them. Unsuccessfully. Do you understand that pouring water into the air cavity of a human after them exhaling is not healthy?

    > Not sure I agree with your description, as there obviously different ways to administer the treatment.

But the version I gave is from the CIA FOIA releases. Your version is from your imagination.

But you agree to it have it done to you either way? You are insane.

  • @sdkee Of course they have medical instruments handy, that signifies nothing. Not sure I agree with your description, as there obviously different ways to administer the treatment. Anyway, what's your address, get the stuff ready and I'll come over and you can waterboard me I want to get this over with, prove you wrong and get on with my life.

  • @MrGrevy

You're aware that this would involve being blindfolded and strapped down to a board and tilted backwards. After you exhaled, water would be poured onto your mouth and face. Water would pool in your nasal cavity and mouth. To avoid breathing the water you would try to swallow it. The CIA uses saline solution so you don't get hyponatremia. It is standard practice to have a tracheotomy and resuscitation stuff handy. CIA uses 40s of continuous pouring, six times in an hour.

  • @sdkee I just don't think so. It's simulated drowning. If you know you're not going to be drowned before hand I can't see it being as bad as they say. However, christopher hitchens claims it is torture. Bring it on I'll do it. Where do you live let's get this thing settled.

  • @MrGrevy

Well, we have a disagreement about whether it is actually torture or not. I merely propose that you put your money where your mouth is and see if you can take it. If you can get through it without admitting that you personally killed JFK then you're right. Merely a simple experiment.

I think we both know how it would turn out. You'd be strapped to a board coughing up water and selling your own children to me if that is what you thought would make me stop.

  • @sdkee Why would I need to undergo water 'torture' simply because I DON'T think it's torture? See, by your logic, a person cannot have an opinion either way without undergoing the 'torture'. Not sure if you skipped college or what, but you are really dense.
