Cameramen first on scene as Police shoot offender

Tim Raethel and Bradley Ambrose were first on the scene to a stand off between Auckland Police and an offender in Pt Chev. This is what went to air on 3 News that night.

In the days following this event Tim and Brad have been hassled by detectives, interviewed, tapes siezed and attempted to be siezed without following established police procedures, TV3 and TVNZ have an "agreement" not to identify the police officer involved in a shooting or show the shooting itself, while I agreed to with hold posting all the footage subsequent behaviour of the Police is bringing the release of ALL the footage ever closer, copies of the videos have been made so any more search warrants will be fruitless.

Police are always trained to shoot center of mass to stop a threat.

In a life or death situation where a guy runs at you with a knife, you aren't going to take your time to aim at his legs or any crap like that. You shoot center of mass until the threat is stopped.
