  • Im doing an essay on native son for Literature. Im sure you've read that book and i would love to know what are your thoughts about it. Im trying to collect as much infotmation I can. And no thats not cheating. :)

  • @jaki2009 How did the essay go? I'm afraid I only just saw your message ... I haven't read Native Son in a long time. There's a lot I love about it: it threw me against the wall back when I first encountered it when I was 16. Nowadays, I tend to agree with James Baldwin's assessment of Native Son--powerful, though it chafes against some limitations of follow-through. Check out Baldwin's essay!
