I really hope that laws are introduced to protect children in these reality shows. It's one thing for adults to decide to broadcast their own lives for payment - they can understand the consequences of their decision. But children can't possibly understand these issues, and I really don't trust all parents to have their childrens' best interests at heart when there's so much cash on the table.

Surrounding these kids in his huge policial bubble is just going to unattract future directors and producers from looking at young talent. These producers already have to go tooth and neck to get parental consent. What makes you think their going to keep breaking their sweat for children.

Aunt Jodi has the fakest look of concern on her face that I've ever seen lol. She has three healthy children, a husband who follows her orders, and a big house. Why cant she just be happy with her life? Some people have it too good that they get bored and feel the need to stir up crap in other people's lives.

They would have to go state to state and get the laws passed. As they can not make a federal law about this.

@alixsb yep and someone needs to be on the set of child beauty pageants, tv shows that have children in them, or movies that take hours a day to film. The kid needs to be able to say that they're tired and want to quit the show or movie. I mean did you watch shows and movie with the Olsen twins in them, do you think they liked being on full house when they were playing baby michelle tanner, do you think they wanted fame when they were preschool age. The parents were earning money from that.

I mean do any of you watch a show or a movie that's not a reality show with a child actor, and say omg, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have been in too many movies in shows, for an example, I do know that they're grown up now, but how do you think that affected them overall, and no one was saying Full House was a bad show because the parents only have them do the many movies and shows, for money. Yeah some of the money went to them, but didn't the parents live on that income too?

I agree, more research needs to be done to see how reality tv actually affects the kids, but if laws or safeguards are made for children to be on reality tv shows, then it's opening up leeway to having laws passed for children being in the media at all, so goodbye child beauty pagents for children under 16, goodbye tv shows, and movies with kids under 16 in them. It would have to be a blanket policy that parents can't sell their kids for reality, regular tv shows or movies, to be fair.

I agree... Gloria Allred, you media hog bitch. Take your ass to Arkansas and jump on the Duggar slaving their kids.
I do not think that they are helping the childern at all. All these people are concerend about is themselves.
