I removed my 6,000k bulbs and installed 5,000k ones today. Gave me an honest pure white with maybe the slightest hint of yellow. The 6,000k bulbs looked cool but I was getting tired of the purple white light they put out. Also these 5,000k's put out 400 lumens more light then the 6,000k's (3,200 vs 2,800 lumens).

  • did you buy the conversion kit, or the xenons that you are suppose to be able just to plug in

  • @d4rks1d30Fth3m00n It was a conversion plug n play kit off ebay Xentec.

  • @rompn4x so all u did was remove the stoock lights and then replace them? no ballasts or any other devices needed to be installed? thats it? plug and play? and also how long do/did they last? do u still have them? thanks. sorry for so many questions but i want too be 100% sure before i buy them.

  • @STREETRACEN4U I installed a set of ballast boxes and 2 xenon bulbs. The ballasts plug directly into the headlight sockets then the hid bulbs plug into the ballast boxes. Been 2 years and just had a ballast box blow on me (water got into it). ordered a replacement one for 9 bucks.

  • i have 6000k hids thinking about swticthing to 5000k can u see better with 5000k my 6k were very bright but with a blue tint was wondering if 5000k are just as bright with out the blue

  • @Dansz71sierra 500k's put out about 300lumen more of visible light. They make it easier to see everything by a little bit.

  • yup its good to have a hobby instead of wasting money and time on alcohol and drugs

  • Those look better than the ricey blue and purple hids. Plus the human eye does not see better in blue or purble. Smart move (thumbs up).
