2000yrs ago and the way it took place is depicted in the video. "Champion" by Carman is a metaphorical depiction of the Gospel story.

With every religion in the history of time, its followers had to approach their god, to appease him in some way, offering some sacrifice or payment to be admitted to their goal, may it be nirvana, heaven, reincarnation, etc. But Christianity is unique that God came down to man's level, walked in his shoes, was sacrificed in man's place and gave us that precious yet free gift to all who would believe.
