@Slangsta01 it looks like regular rock 'quartz' crystal. When quartz is squeezed it releases a small amount of electricity for a split second, but also works in reverse, applying a small charge too it causes it to slightly twist. This allows for easy clocks and used in radios as well :) I would assume applying a charge this high to it would result in it fracturing due to vibrations.
Ive considered how to utilise large quartz crystals in alternate ways electronically.This method seems more primitive than using a high EMF air core inductor or solenoid as quartz in this state is for the most part non conductive..
The inductor would with an alternating current create a field within the quartz..
The next trick I would imagine would be to scale the length of frequencies to detect a resonant effect .

Come on guys, this effect is just UV produced by the electron flux on a Fluorine Crystal... this exist for decades.. take a look at Crookes Tubes!
