In this video i explain that it's not all about going from one side of the X fade to the other just on the count of 1,2,3,4. You can also use the X fade in between the beats, it's all about listening to the music

  • This guy is a great teacher. 10 minutes with him has taught me a good amount.

  • @Robizdur thats the whole point of a tutorial dumbass.

  • He looks like DeadMau5 ( Joel Zimmerman )

  • I wish this guy was my instructor in my dj class that i just enrolled at...his enthusiasm really makes you work hard and at the same time enjoy while you do it. Keep it up! i'm learning a lot!

  • @attoghaveympops yeah there is the sound played through the headphones and the sound played through speakers. You can adjust the sound in the headphones also, so you could be playing track 1 on the system, but only track 2 in the headphones, and then you can mix track 1 to your headphones, playing along with track 2 in the headphones, so that you can make sure that everything sounds fine before you mix track 2 onto the system.

  • I have a newb question and I am still saving up to get my first bit of kit.

I noticed you were controlling the vinyls bpm when mixing the 2. Can you hear both tracks simultaneously while the speakers play only one? If not, how do you know exactly where your at? Same question applies to when you are playing 1 song, then fading it into the next track, say at a club. Thanks for posting the vids, great help.

  • Good lesson , thank you (:
