@sonicstep In fact, I doubt safety would form part of any such brief or perceived product specification since that should form part of any 'good' designer's mindset.
@boywiththorneinside They use this in cyclocross a lot, so no its not going to screw up in the rain and theres not enough electricity to kill you,and the batteries are rechargeable
PS are these products dangerous ? Can one e.g. die of an electrical shock say when riding in the rain ? And u making more global warming using batteries. Oh well I still need this product (I think.....?)
Nice video did'nt know Shimano was German. when do we get the Ultegra 'Cancelara' inboard motor ? :-) apart for that I need this but I still think that 187 quid just for some wires is crazy crazy price even if front and rear shifters seem with in my economic reach. I guess they flog u these first & then u discover you need the wiring, clever bastards
I dont really see a point with the DI2 for us mortal peapole. Unless you are a pro I don´t think you need it. And I woud forget to recharge the batteries.
And correct me if im wrong but hadn´t Mavic a electronical shiftsystem for some years ago?

@boywiththorneinside The Cancellara-motor isnt made by Shimano, its called "Gruber Assist" /watch?v=jmPUze3WBTw
But it costs almost 3000€ without batteries!

Shifters for rich women! as a man i like a manual gearbox at a car as i like a mechanical shifter at a bike.

@Powercomputer005 Brakes are mechanical dudes!

@powpanda I think a mechanical brake makes more sense because you can dispense the brake power better...

what about an electronic brake? not reliable !
also how about unifying the battery for the gerars and also the lights.
