  • lol.. so funny...

  • @hobeeorchid They sound "harsh" to the ear. I know its a bit biased and as a Cantonese speaker myself one could say my tongue is harsh too. Also there is no unity like most of my neighbours are Chinese but we must use English because one speaks Mandarin the other speaks Shanghainese or Hokkien etc.

One Taiwanese professor in Taiwan national university said “ hokkien young should protect, love and use hokkien before too late, Mandarin will replace all”

  • @DuhLie

KMT banned Hokkien in Taiwan in past , it is true information, you can search it.

It is reason why from 75%-85% hokkien who can speak fluently in past reduce to 45% hokkien can speak fluently as now. Now all Taipei , young hokkien only speak Mandarin, In Tainnan, people still speak hokkien, but in other city, many hokkien can understand but can’t speak hokkien.

The reason why Vietnamese and Chinese share many similarity because 2000 years ago, all of South Yangzi river is Bai yue- ancestor of Vietnamese. Chinese from yellow river invaded Bai Yue, and you learn many from Bai Yue, even has influence in language, so has many similarity .

We proud to be Vietnamese-hero descendant of Bai Yue

  • @DuhLie

Yes, Ming dynasty invaded Dai Viet (Dai Yue) in more 10 years, and at that time, Ming take thousands Vietnamese talent include Nguyen An (who designed forbidden city Beijing), Ho Nguyen Trung ( who invented Cannon ),..many many…

  • @DuhLie

Who created Vietnamese Latin character now is one Portuguese, and French, and he created it with help of Vietnamese. Do you understand? Read more to know it

  • @BAIYUE1 if KMT ban hokkien, how come taiwanese still speak hokkien? ha ha.

vietnamese language however has a lot of borrowed vocabulary from outsiders, namely, the Chinese and the French (fairly new). that's shameful for you isnt it? hehehe

  • @BAIYUE1 the reason why vietnamese share similarities with the chinese is because the chinese ruled vietnam for at least a 1000 years. within those years, vietnam learn a lot from china. this is a historical fact.

your opposite view is a revisioned fake history, with no supporting evidence, that would only make sense to a person with a serious identity/inferiority complex.
