@hobeeorchid They sound "harsh" to the ear. I know its a bit biased and as a Cantonese speaker myself one could say my tongue is harsh too. Also there is no unity like most of my neighbours are Chinese but we must use English because one speaks Mandarin the other speaks Shanghainese or Hokkien etc.
