This is a video of one of Recology Sunset Scavenger's old spare Labries that they use at extra trucks when needed. This was one of the routes of the Multitask SL, and he was out on vacation (the driver of it), and I FREAKED out because I thought this was the only route they had for it at the time, which isn't true :)

I like seeing these older trucks, they should stick around for a while as spares. This truck is collecting trash and recycling in SF's Outer Richmond District. It's always cold where I film, lol. Enjoy the footage of this older truck!

  • Cool! Love the sound of this truck, makes me want to work for them and drive one..5 + fav!!

  • @Trashman242 Yeah, me too lol. Thanks Scott

  • If it wasn't for the faded Sunset Scavenger sign on these trucks and the fact that I've known of them for the last million years, I wouldn't think they were old. This split MSL collection method continues to interest me, and I bet if I showed some of the Aussie drivers this, they would be totally stumped! lol Seeing the parked cars and the carts on the kerbside, I wonder what would happen if there was no gap between cars to move the carts to the truck for a decent distance? hehe :P Nice work!!!

  • @MitchellM15 Thanks for your insight Mitch! You should show them

  • @IWS15 Yes Recology only uses Toter brand carts. They own the rights to the discontinued EVR-I manual 64 and 96 gallon carts which is why San Francisco continues to get them while no one else can. Other cities under their local Recology branch n Northern California use EVR-II carts if automated.

  • You know, I kind of miss this truck now, even though it had no home, it became my route truck for about a year until a new Heil took its place.

  • does recolagy only run toters?

  • Does Autocar still make the WXLL and WX product lines?

  • @r6man2 Your welcome!
