@toyodriver2004 thanks for the comment... yes Mark and LT from Metal Tech are the guys who did the build. Metal Tech is in Newberg, OR. and they know Toyota 4x4 better than just about anyone. These are the guys who the BBC called when Top Gear wanted someone to do a FJ40 build in South America. (check out our site for that episode) They know their stuff. Good luck with your build and let us know how it goes.

Four house to take the old off and 4 hours to put the new on? I am going to try to complete it in 6 hours. Going to be installing the Camburg LT kit on my 04 toyota tacoma either this next weekend or the following next week. Is this video taken at metal Tech? I heard him say "Metal Tech" where is metal tech located? is that in Newberg?

This install took approximately 8 hours. It included rebuilding the two front half shafts since our rig is 4WD. There was also about 2 hours prep (reviewing the materials and talking with TC on the installs they had done.

the spindle gusset reinforcement is not part of the the long travel kit. it is a good idea to do them at the same time though since all the parts are coming off. Their is some additional welding (on the TC kit) for the bump-stop extension and the limit strap attachment to the frame. the gusset was an extra we chose to do at the same time.
I want to be long traveld so bad. But it looks like I am gonna have to settle for mid travel. : > (

@MrDeparture this video is the 2" long travel... and it is amazing... sure the 3.5" dual shock is very cool... but at least the 2" lets you stay street legal with the stock fender flairs.

I got a hold of Metal Tech in Newberg. Had talk to Mark about welding my TC gussets on my spindles and welding on the limit strap clevis. Also replacing a few seals on the spindles. It sounds like these guys at Metal Tech know what they are doing so I am gonna have them do the welds on my tacoma.
