I guss it's for pro (well payed) artist.
I was thinking why there isn't hi-res drum scanner in the price range of nikon coolscann.

@liaminwales No, it does not use a laser. It uses a cold cathode lamp, which is plainly proven by the white light coming from within the scanner, as well as the scanner's own specifications page.

it's as good as you get before a drum scanner, it uses a lazor so there is no digital nose.
it literally scans the image in a different way to normal scanners and gives a file of far higher quality.
and is super fast, nikon cool scans are hugely slower and notably lower quality images

I am using it right now at work. BEST SCANNER EVER! SUPER FASt! ah.
