    I guss it's for pro (well payed) artist.

    I was thinking why there isn't hi-res drum scanner in the price range of nikon coolscann.

  • @liaminwales No, it does not use a laser. It uses a cold cathode lamp, which is plainly proven by the white light coming from within the scanner, as well as the scanner's own specifications page.

  • it's as good as you get before a drum scanner, it uses a lazor so there is no digital nose.

    it literally scans the image in a different way to normal scanners and gives a file of far higher quality.

    and is super fast, nikon cool scans are hugely slower and notably lower quality images

  • I am using it right now at work. BEST SCANNER EVER! SUPER FASt! ah.
