@alexthemod1 The reason I suspect they didn't add it to that compilation is because Liz's version was not unreleased. Connie's was unreleased. This was Liz's last single at Hitsville and supposedly she has a ton of stuff in the vaults. That is the Temptations backing her... you hear Eddie abd David's falsettos the most. This song should have been a hit.

Why on earth didn't the powers that be at Motown, or at least the people responsible for compiling the tracks on " A cellarful of Motown vol 2 use this original version as opposed to Connie Haines take on it?
Don 't get me wrong, Connie's version is good, but lacks the gritty soul of Liz's.
I read on here that The Temps provide backing (I'm sure I did!) but to me, this sounds more like the "house" backing provided by The Andantes
