Eric's Towing started in 1986 in Arlington, Texas. Eric's was the first to offer private property towing in Tarrant County in accordance Texas State Law.

When we started a few companies were doing private property towing but they was not posting the towing signs correctly and didn't offer other services that pertained to the parking lots.

In 1986 we got permitted and within 3 months we were the largest private property towing company in Tarrant County. Within 2 years we opened our services in Dallas County.

Eric Elam invented and patented a caster jack for front wheel drive vehicles and was instrumental in assisting Law makers in drafting State Laws for private property towing.

Many other copy cat companies sprung-up copying our services and that was in 1990 when I got the great ideal to produce this Video and sent it out to property managers and property owners, it was done on the new technology VHS Tape.

Eric's Was the first private property towing Company to have the new wheel lift for damage free towing back in 1986.

Eric Elam first had the Holmes cable assist wheel lift back in 1979.

Eric and Linda Elam paved the way in how procedures are used today by many towing companies in Texas. Eric's Towing was ahead of You Tube and the internet in video information.
