Are you able to get away with using a smaller battery supply if the GDrom drive is removed, and the DC operates off of a SD adaptor?

On my worklog, I had to cut off the two top sides and rewire them, I think it's covered in these videos, if not, join my forum, post what you need and i'll upload pics of it, assuming I still have them.

Not for sale, jack52032, this project takes a massive amount of time to make! I anticipate the project would take about 200 hours work start to end roughly.
