I'm an ex-christian, but I agree with this movement. Because I see this discrimination not only happening to Christians, but Hindus and Jews as well. Anything that goes against the progressive agenda is attacked. And I feel the progressive agenda is very racist.
@nbcdecoy13lol Funny, it's ok for atheists, agnostics, even Muslims to push THEIR beliefs, but a Christian can't so much as talk about their beliefs. the double standards disgust and embarrass me.
hahaha. I think the issue here was not that the Christians wanted their rights fought for, they just wanted the same respect the other clubs, belief systems, etc. got. .
And, actually you can already get a degree in mathematics. lol Have a wonderful day, friend!
@nbcdecoy13lol I see your point, but university environments are chock full of people pushing their beliefs onto others, be it the instructors pushing one way of thinking, or students pushing their views. the problem comes when those people refuse to admit what they are doing and go on the assumption that their belief system is the only one worthy of discussion, while all others are to inferior or backwards to even be mentioned. People can believe what we want, just dont forcefeed it on others
@danewage Even though his comment was removed I can only imagine that he didn't mean it like that - I'm sure it was something more along the lines of - You guys act like every one is out to get you but they aren't. Christians go to public schools expecting it to be their big sermon on the mount but act like you're under attack when it turns out everyone there is just there to learn - not push their beliefs on people. That's what the universities are advocating.
@itsmrGuy, so religious people should stop believing their books, but you can go ahead and continue to believe in yours? Reasonable people would consider that that suggestion a double-standard.
You know what? I'm going to form a religion where the only tenet is that 2+2=7. Then I'm going to go to ADF and demand that they fight for my right to get a degree in mathematics.
When did free thought enter into repeating religious dogma? "Ask God what your grade is." = priceless. Also, assuming that God isn't behind in His grading, what was the grade?
