This quest may be a bit more difficult for you.

Your quest? To slay the Rathalos, you did that already? Try this Azure Rathalos.

His movements differ from the regular red colored Wyvern, you'll notice he flies alot more often, can stop mid charge and use a different attack, AND has a much cooler yet raspy sounding roar. (:

His Wings are also a bit more thicker, so you may have a hard time piercing them with certain weapon classes, SnS works perfectly though.

Weapon: Poison Battleaxe:
Attack: 238
Sharpness: Nice green
POAtrrib: 260
(made by improving Hunter's Knife upwards, requires Poison Sacs)

Armor:

Ioprey Helm
Ioprey Mail
Ioprey Vambraces
Ioprey Tasset
Ioprey Greaves

Skills:

Poison Negated

For this quest I suggest bringing 5x Flash Bombs, 3x Psychoserum, (he likes to roam alot) 2x Lg Barrel Bomb(s) and 1x Pitfall Trap.

Let's begin shall we? Grab whatever you need from the Supply Box, and I'm sure you'll notice a new item in there as well, Throwing Knives huh? Don't use them just yet, keep them just in case because you may need them later on.

Now Azure Rathalos starts off in area 7, and begins to walk around a bit in that area, and then flies off to another.

He'll usually go to area 6, or to 3. Mostly 6 though.

For the first encounter, I think (not sure) that he goes to area 3, but he chose this area for me.

In area 3, there are a few Bullfango, which you'll want to clear out ASAP. Once you take the time to do that, you should see Azure Rathalos flying down from the horizon.
Be sure to Paintball him, just in case he gets away.

Flash Bombs have never been so useful. (:

What you should do is Flash Bomb, and then head to the bottom of area 3 (entrance of area 1 really) and clear the next wave of Bullfango, they only re-spawn once, so just clear them out and they won't be something to worry about while fighting Azure Rathalos.

Continue to Flash Bomb and attack his head (weak spot) and time your movements so you'll be able to dodge any incoming tail swings, or bite attacks while he is flashed.

There's really nothing to Azure Rathalos using Flash Bombs, if you're using PBA (Poison Battleaxe) and attack his head like I did so, you should down him pretty quickly and easily.

A nice quick way of dealing some nice damage to him is to lure him to charging at the rocks that are scattered in area 3, they will explode and usually cause some stagger (which is how he died at the end of my video..what a waste of a Pitfall Trap..)

If he chose area 6, you may find yourself killing some annoying cats, and Apceros, other than that the tactic should still remain the same, aim for the head, as that is his weak spot.

When he is weak, he will try to run off to area 7, where he sleeps in the dead center of the area, (which you cannot access) which is why you were supplied with the Throwing Knives, so in case he escapes from you and attempts to sleep, you throw one of those at him and he'll wake up, be sure he sees you as well, or he may try running off again.

If you're trying to create his armor, you'll need his Claws, which you can break off easily using Lg Barrel Bombs, so Flash Bomb and set them down right in front of his wings and watch it explode. If you decide not to use bombs, throw a Flash Bomb and begin hacking at his wings.

i hardly get azure rathalos claw... i just need 2 claws for the pants armor and it wont give it 2 me i killd it like a million times i get scales and webbings...

u cant get any 'PLATE' in any village elder quest..u cant only get it when ur hr2 or when hr 4 and up...i say do it when u have mega lucky cat in hr 2...dunno why but they give a lot more
