@jonesey5168 kill/ride has little influence from dave mustaine. most of it's influence is from the new wave of british heavy metal. dave mustaine just wrote a few licks but hetfield and lars masterminded the metal from day one and on

I was 15 (1985) when I first heard Fight Fire With Fire and I lived overseas. Upon moving back to California, my older brother came home with two tickets to see Metallica open for Ozzy at the San Francisco Cow Palace. I will never forget that show. I'm so fortunate to have seen them with Cliff Burton. Melted my fucking face off.

Its eerie how similar metallica and rhcp are... both lost key founding members to tragic deaths after their third album. Both were pioneers of their respective genres (what genre are the chilis though?), both changed their sound significantly partway through their careers, and of course both are KICK ASS BANDS!
