The Music of Video Games [400] TV Commercials

And now, for something not-so-completely different...

First things first, let me say that this video is essentially nothing more than a reason for me to have a bit of fun and feature the greatest character in the history of video game commercials: Segata Sanshiro!

Some of you might be familiar with him already, but in case you aren't, I recommend you check out this Wikipedia page:

The music video in this entry is basically a montage of his awesomeness playing to his badass theme song, but if you want more, I highly recommend you check out the entire series of commercials here on YouTube. If you watch them all, you will agree- Segata Sanshiro is king. Nobody fucks with him.

The rest of the video features a bunch of other gaming commercials that have music in one way or another. I guess the most notable of the bunch (Zelda rap excluded) would be the Game Boy Advance one in which you have kids jumping all over the city Crouching Tiger-style. The song that plays in that ad is called "Hatsukoi" and is performed by Mayumi Kojima, so if you want the full tune for yourself, at least you know what to search for. Thanks goes to zecmo for the information.

And that's mostly it. The series will return to game tunes with the next entry, so hopefully you enjoyed this little change of pace and all the vids that preceded it. A big thanks to all my subscribers and supporters, you guys and gals rock. Although maybe not as quick as the first half, here's to 400 more folks.

I love how Pikachu is just flying all around in the SSB ad, and the fact that Segata Sanshiro can make people explode by throwing them. Plain awesomeness.
