My final entry for the GMV Awards this year =)
And this is for the Best Trailer category.
So this trailers story borrows elements from both FFXIII & Deus Ex, the character roles are thus:
Vanille - The central character who started this whole fiasco. She was the first l'Cie and Sarif's first failed experiment, with Sarif not even knowing her Focus himself. She escapes Sarif Industries with her friend and guardian, Fang - who pledges to help Vanille find her Focus. Serah is more than willing to forget her Focus and become a monster, and/or allow herself to be killed by Sahz or Adam because of the guilt she harbours. She and Adam also have a connection of sorts as Vanille is somewhate responsible for his augmentations.
Lightning - A dedicated soldier who was friends with Vanille before she was transformed into a l'Cie. She threatens Vanille and says that she will deal with her if she is telling the truth as she is obligated by her job. She and Sahz are partners and begin to differ on opinion after Lightning begins to spend more time with Vanille and starts to grow suspicious of David Sarif.
David Sarif - The puppet master of sorts. He was the one who gave the go-ahed for the l'Cie experiments which resulted in Vanille's transformation. He is using Adam, Lightning and Sahz to track down Vanille and Fang, but Adam is his most trusted and able. Although not completely evil, Sarif just wants to contain or destroy Vanille so she does not fall into the hands of rival companies and keep company's name unsullied.
Fang - Is totally loyal to Vanille and treats her like a little sister. Willing to lay down her life to protect her, she often becomes frustrated with Vanille for her non-chalant approach to finding her Focus. She is also an extremely capable fighter.
Adam Jensen - Sarif's ace in the hole and Vanille's primary hunter. Lethal and ill-tempered, Adam wants to phone this one in and capture the escapee. However, he begins to unravel his own past along with Vanille as she confesses that she knows exactly who is responsible for Adam's "accident" which resulted in the loss of his limbs. He is loyal to Sarif and owes him his life for the augmentations Sarif provided him with.
Sahz - Lightning's by-the-book partner. A level headed man who only wants to make things safer for humans and sees that Vanille as a l'Cie has no place among them. He is shocked when Vanille offers herself to him to be killed, and can only nash at the futility of killing her as he knows that more l'Cie will follow. He is a family man and treats Lightning like a daughter, he is friends with Sarif and cautious of Adam's quiet dispostion.
