Teddy, My Baby Rat

Here is my baby Rat. He is a Male and was born on the 14/08/07.He is a little shy at present but I'm trying my best to tame him up. He is Cute and adorable and that is why I named him Teddy.
Rest in peace Ted 14/08/2007 - 06/08/2009.
After Ted was a year old. His teeth began to grow out of proportion and was constantly making vet arrangements to get his teeth clipped, however they grew back quicker and badder each time in a few weeks. Me and my father sometimes managed to restrain Ted and clip his teeth ourselves to save vet trip hassle and costs. However towards the end. Ted got so stressed with this that even the vet had trouble clipping his teeth and said that in the end he would even have to be anesthatised just to get his teeth clipped. and the best solution would be an operation to have his front incizors removed. so we booked an appointment to have his health checked to see if he would survive anasthetic and unfortunatley he had a really bad lung condition that not even anti biotics could cure (probably old age beating him) so he wouldnt survive the operation and neither anasthetic just to have his teeth clipped. so you might aswell say the vets gave up on him because it was a losing battle. on Thursday the 6th August 2009 I tried one last hope to restrain him so my father could clip his teeth.. but unfortunatley the stress of this killed Ted and he died in my arms. This was the worst day of my year of 2009.
He was loved very much and will be missed alot. He was one of a kind. I will not be getting another Rat in future neither. RIP Ted
Pet Domestic Fancy Rats were bred and descended from the Common Wild Brown Rat (Rattus Norvegicus), not the Black Ship Rat,(Rattus Rattus)which was common a few hundred years ago.
