In 2003 I was in Iraq. Not as a soldier this time but as a historian paying tribute to the thousands who have died there in two world wars. Most of them did not know what the wars were all about - they were soldiers.
I stood at The Basra Cremation memorial and my eyes wandered through the thousands of young me and rested upon one which was to haunt me for several years. His name was RIT BAHADUR RAI and he was only 16 years of age when he was killed. That name on that granite slab haunted me.

One more Gurkha soldier serving in British Army in Afghanistan died today after he was badly wounded in a helicopter mishap, according to British Embassy. The name and identity of the deceased has not been made public yet. — HNS
Google and you know more. I think it's time that British stop the invasion of other country led by terror nation U.S.

it was a terrible shame that yubraj passed away, i was there for his extraction and continued to push the taliban back for a further two days, we held the ground from the taliban and established a patrol base right in their backyard fighting them on a daily basis, we named the base yubraj and hung a massive banner in memory of him and 'krish' who also passed away during the gurkha tour, on behalf of all of the tigers who served in musa qaleh - rip yubraj

well,i truly agree with you...But still is so so sad that men like Yubraj lose their lives like this. But I say as well, there are not people as brave, honourable and respecful as the gurkha are! They are the best in the world. You will not find a person who is more loyal to you than a Gurkha...And i say it by experience!
Jai Gurkha!Kick those Talibans asses!!!
