This water pump operates by using air pressure. It's amazing but it does work. I took a chance though but after seeing some clips on how it works I thought it worth a try. Fantastic method of pumping water. Next phase is to take it down the borehole about 500m from the water tank at the house. This will be the THE test but I'm confident it will work. The water table at the borehole is quite close to the surface, about 3m. So that should be no problem for a Brumby.

  • Nevertheless, the Brumby can deliver 12000 litres (3200 Gallons, 12 tonnes) of water per hour.

  • @saintveil I agree if you do compare with a submersible or mono pump. But as you can see I was only using a very small compressor. The advantage with this is that you can push up water to greater heights and distance. Also instead of running a power supply to the water source you only need to run an air supply which is cheaper.
